Students will develop beginner piano skills.
My mom was a classically trained pianist who worked as a piano teacher. I began teaching lessons when I was in high-school and am excited to continue doing so online!
It is essential that students spend 30 minutes a day practicing piano to improve their skills. I will provide songs for them to work on each week that focus on the skills that we are learning. The songs will be checked the next week during lessons. If they are mastered, then we will move onto a new skill.
Students should have a piano and should be willing to purchase the books that are required for lessons. Most of them are around $10 and come from great curriculums. A new book is needed two to four times a year, depending on the students' progress. After one or two lessons, I will provide the name of the book that serves the student best. I will provide copies of any other pieces that we will need. Many students also like to write down their songs that they will need to have prepared for next week. They might want to have a piano notebook and pencil to keep track of their weekly goals.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
