This is a great opportunity to quickly learn the basics of piano and try out lessons for a few weeks and get your student interested in music.

Description

Class Experience

For those students who are just beginning to learn about the piano, we will start with the basics. We will learn about different kinds of notes and rhythms, hand positions on the piano, basic terms and words, as well as the music alphabet and the names of the keys. Next, we will learn to read music on the music staff. As we progress and learn, we will figure out how to play chords and scales, as well as develop our ability to sight read new music and recognize different notes and sounds just...

This class is taught in English.

Students will learn to read and understand written music, as well as the mechanics of playing the piano.

Students will be given 1-2 new songs to practice after each lesson, as well as periodic written homework. Students are encouraged to practice 15-30 each day, or 1-3 hours each week.

Students will be required to purchase the appropriate books from the Bastien Piano Basics series.

The teacher will provide guidance on which level to purchase after assessing the students level during the first introductory class.
