Class experience
I will be your piano teacher! We will start at your level, even at the beginning, and you will learn how to play the piano. This includes learning finger numbers, the music alphabet, the keyboard, notation, dynamics, articulation, expression, theory, ear training, and technique. Lessons are structured to build on concepts, so with time and practice, your skill as a pianist will grow! Homework Offered
Students will be required to keep an assignment notebook to mark down the material introduced/reviewed from week to week. Practice length varies by student, but the goal is mastery of the skill involved (steady beat, note accuracy, hand technique, performance speed, etc.)0 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students progress through their books by completing assignments. Some more complicated pieces/exercises may require multiple weeks to totally accomplish it, but some concepts will be continuously encountered - like steady beat, notes, & rhythms - so they will be reinforced from week to week.Grades Offered
