These lessons are designed to teach beginners how to play popular catchy tunes that they can use to play at family gatherings.
Class experience
These private lessons are designed for children who have taken part 1 and part 2 of my piano beginner classes, or they have mastered the C scale and can play at least two chords with their left hand. Below are key learning objectives: Play seven chords using both hands Practice the C scale using one hand at a time Use proper fingering method when playing chords Explain proper posture when sitting in front of the piano Describe proper fingering method Play popular tunes for family friends...
The overarching theme is entertainment. In other words, I will teach the children how to play many popular tunes, and in turn they will be able to perform during family gatherings. Some of the popular tunes/melodies include: Twinkle Twinkle little star Mary had a little lamb Three blind mice Hot Cross Buns London Bridge is falling down Memory Fur Elise Yesterday by the Beetles And many more….
The only handouts we will have are related to the songs we learn.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
All of the material is designed by me. We will be using the solfage method so that memorization can be quick and easy.
