These private lessons are designed for children who have taken part 1 and part 2 of my piano beginner classes, or they have mastered the C scale and can play at least two chords with their left hand. Below are key learning objectives: Play seven chords using both hands Practice the C scale using one hand at a time Use proper fingering method when playing chords Explain proper posture when sitting in front of the piano Describe proper fingering method Play popular tunes for family friends (see list below) Popular Songs Twinkle Twinkle little star Mary had a little lamb Three blind mice Hot Cross Buns London Bridge is falling down Memory Fur Elise Yesterday by the Beetles
Learning Goals
The overarching theme is entertainment. In other words, I will teach the children how to play many popular tunes, and in turn they will be able to perform during family gatherings.

The only handouts we will have are related to the songs we learn.

I hold a degree in Computer Science, but I have dedicated 15 years of my career to Leadership and People development, and teaching children how to communicate effectively. My main goal in any class is having fun and protecting the self-esteem of all students. The goal is to excite them about what they love the most, and do it with confidence.
