Description

Class Experience

In this class your child will learn proper siting position at the keyboard/piano and proper hand positions.  I will also introduce the finger numbers to them.
My style is interactive and I will listen to the  student play.  Student do not require any previous experience in piano. I will go over the black keys in the C4 octave.   I will introduce them to listening to high, low and middle notes with a listening activity.
The student will learn a simple song, Hot Cross Buns, on the black...

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and over 25 years experience in teaching children, preschool through high school  I am kind and patient and love to laugh.  This is a safe place for your child.

A piano or keyboard (preferably at least 61 keys)
I ask that you position the keyboard so that the child and the piano keys are visible.  Thank you.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

I need a parent in the room, if your student is 4-7 years old.  Otherwise, it's up to you.
