Class Experience
During the one on one session, the student will learn about prewriting, including different forms of brainstorming, outlining, and planning. We will discuss thesis statements, including what makes a strong thesis. Finally, we will explore writing and editing. The student will leave the tutoring session with tools (both mental and available to print) that will be valuable aids in the their future writing endeavors. With both an undergraduate and graduate degree in English and Writing, and over fifteen years of teaching experience, I have taught essay writing to countless students, including college age learners.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
