This one-time class is an opportunity for young people to receive personal guidance on crafting and writing their ideas more clearly and effectively, and to find the inner writer within!
Class experience
This class will help students develop confidence in their writing and begin to recognize and/or develop their own personal style and voice. There is something for everyone: the blossoming writer will be encouraged to recognize their inner talent and develop their writing craft, while all students will be encouraged to bring out the best of their ideas in their written work, for school or otherwise. To develop confidence in one's own writing ability and personal voice.
Ms. Shiren has an Honours Bachelors Degree from the University of Toronto, where she practised essay writing for the social sciences throughout her degree, in both English and Spanish. She has written for community magazines in her home city of Toronto, and also worked as a copyeditor. She has taught and tutored English from young people through to adults, in the forms of English as a Second Language, Vocabulary Development, and Essay Writing and other Writing Practice. She has long-term clients who continue to grow with her as their writing continues to develop over time.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
