Learning a musical instrument is fun, fulfilling, and challenging. Through music lessons, students explore a wide variety of musical styles and sounds, and learn how to express and interpret emotions. It's easy to learn when you are having fun! That's why we teach the fundamentals of music through the songs that students love. Some of the concepts we will learn are: Proper playing posture How to hold, tune, and take care of our instruments How to play exercises and familiar songs to warm up the hands How to play major scales and arpeggios How to read TAB and lead sheets for guitar How to play your favorite songs and have fun on your instrument!
Learning Goals
We will work together to set individual goals for each student. Progress depends on the amount of practice outside of lessons that students do. I believe it is important to master one concept before moving on to another, and let the learner set the pace.

Parental Guidance
Students may need help getting set up for lessons and tuning their instruments before class.
Supply List
An acoustic guitar, electric guitar, or banjo so that learners can practice at home .
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
