US Grade 1
For the past 30 years I enjoyed teaching children from ages 4-15; I have enjoyed teaching children in brick-and-mortar classrooms and online classrooms. I have also enjoyed working in a classroom and one-on-one settings. I enjoy teaching all subjects. In this one-on-one class we will work on the areas that students need the most assistance conquering. Students can start at any point along this Math journey. I always enjoy working with parents as they give me insight into where their child is presently and working from that starting point. We can focus on any Math skills from grade 1 to grade 8. My teaching style is to make learning fun. I like to play different games to help children learn without even realizing they are learning. I like to be encourage each child; helping them to gain confidence and learn to love learning I look forward to meeting your child and helping them to feel confident and successful.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
