As a person who struggled with math as a young student, I can empathize with and relate to students as they try to learn new and difficult concepts. I display patience with the learners, give them time to respond, and offer encouragement for their efforts. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education and my Master’s degree in Elementary Education. As a state-licensed math teacher for the past 25 years, my experience includes teaching public school classes (grades 7-12) and private tutoring (grades K-12). I have been an online tutor since 2017. For the past 15 years, I have homeschooled my three children, including one college graduate and one high-school graduate.
The learners will need the name of topic of difficulty (or homework assignment), pencil and paper, or a personal-sized whiteboard and marker.
