Hello! Thank you so much for showing interest in my classes. I am Ms. Amy. I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker. I have multiple degrees in languages and literature.
I have more than 10 years of teaching experience in different levels of Chinese to students from kindergarten to university. I offer one-on-one and private lessons for students learning Mandarin Chinese. I have also tutored students in IB Chinese language B, Mandarin ab initio, and AP Chinese language and culture.
My teaching philosophy is that each learner is unique and learns at their own pace and this is something that I bring to every lesson of mine. I apply communicative teaching strategies to encourage learners to engage in learning activities based on their language skills, topics of interest and individually tailored materials.
I enjoy learning and teaching and having students learn with me.
