Hello! Thank you so much for showing interest in my classes. I am Ms. Amy. I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker. I have multiple degrees in languages and literature, and spend a lot of time in reading and translating literary works. 
I have more than 10 years teaching experiences of different levels of Chinese to students from kindergarten to university. I offer specific, individually tailored lessons in the areas of pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading and writing. I have been also tutoring IB Chinese language B and Mandarin ab initio, and  AP Chinese language and culture and different levels of conversation, reading and writing.
I apply communicative teaching strategies to encourage learners to engage in learning activities that are based on their language skills, topics of interest and individually tailored materials. 
I like to read books , practice Chinese calligraphy, and do paintings while I’m not working.

Homework Offered
We have homework regularly. Usually it takes 10-15minutes to practice the pronunciation of  Pinyin and tones, practice writing characters, or copy 3-5 short sentences into notebooks.
