Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this ongoing class that meets 1x a week (Mondays for now), your child will work on short and long vowel words in a variety of ways. We will sing songs, trace short vowel or long vowel words, color pictures, do word search puzzles, fill in the blank worksheets, and make letters with play-dough to form words that go with the pictures on the worksheet. There will be a worksheet that will need to be printed for each class. The pdf file can be found in the classroom under the weekly comment each week. Your child will be encouraged to sing along and talk about the words we are learning that day. I enjoy doing one-on-one classes because I like to interact with students to help them build confidence and feel special. I hope to see your child in this class soon! 1. We will greet each other and sing the hello song. 2. We will review what we did the week before unless it is a new class for a student. 3. We will sing a song using the vowel of the day words. 4. We will trace short or long vowel words on the worksheet and sound the words out phonetically. We will find the words of the day in a word search puzzle or fill in the blanks with the words of the day. 5. We will use play-dough to make letters to form words. There will be pictures they can color to go with the words we are making with play-dough. 6. Your child will have the opportunity to show off their work by holding up their worksheets. 7. We will sing the goodbye song. Message me to set up a time for a private lesson.
