Private Latin Tutoring

I hold a BA in Historical Studies from Stockton University and an MA in Egyptology from the University of Toronto.  I have experience working both in museums and on archaeological digs.  I also moonlight as an actor in amateur musical theater productions.  

Here are the types of classes I teach:

Pyramids, Mummies and the Afterlife (Ages 8-12)  
Introduction to Hieroglyphic Scripts (Ages 12-17)
Ancient Egypt: In Their Own Words (Ages 10-15)

My Latin program has four beginner levels and one intermediate level so far, with more to be added as students progress.

I also may teach other history topics, as well as general writing courses.  

I am an approachable, enthusiastic teacher who enjoys learning from my students as much as I enjoy teaching them.  I believe that history shouldn't be boring and that there is no such thing as a silly question.  I strive to make my classes challenging without being punishing.  I have high expectations of my students, but I also support them and give them the tools to achieve their goals.  

I am happy to help my students prepare for both the National Latin Exam and the National Mythology exam!  These are both excellent opportunities for your learner, both for college resumes and scholarships.
