Class Experience
Following the lessons in the book Colloquial Hungarian by Carol H. Rounds and Erika Solyom, every week we cover a specific grammatical rule as well as a conversational topic such as... - how to address people in a formal or informal way - members of the family - traveling - shopping - music, theater, culture - health, or - school. Students will also have writing exercises.
I am a Hungarian-born, Florida-based educator and documentary filmmaker. I teach Visual Arts, Design in a Montessori & International Baccalaureate school and Hungarian language to children and adults privately. I have a teacher M.A. in Hungarian Language and Literature from the University of Debrecen, as well as a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Aesthetics from the University of Budapest, Hungary.
Each week students will have written homework, requiring 15-20 min. of their time.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
