In this ongoing class, you will learn basic guitar chords to your favorite songs! You will also learn how to read music on the guitar, as well as proper playing technique.
Class experience
I will teach you how to play your favorite songs on the guitar! I am patient, fun, and enthusiastic about every student at every age and ability level. We will start with basic chords and strum styles and then move on to fingerpicking and eventually adding more ornamentation to your chords. You will also learn how to read music on the guitar, as well as proper hand placement to maximize your playing and sound. In addition, I offer classical guitar lessons for those wanting more of a challenge!
Students will learn basic open chords, strum styles, and fingerpicking. Students will also learn how to read notes on the guitar.
Homework Offered
Students are expected to practice at least 20 minutes every day.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
