Private Guitar Lessons: Learn How to Play Your Favorite Songs!
In this 1-on-1 guitar course, students will learn how to play their favorite songs on the guitar. Each week, the learned will get to choose the song he/she would like to learn.

Beginner - Advanced Level
Before every class, the learner will send me the name of the song he/she would like to learn that week along with the artist's name. In every class, I will begin with a short "catch up" conversation for the first 2 minutes to help the student warm up. From there, I will play a clip of the song the student selected so we can familiarize ourselves with the tempo, melody, structure, etc. again. We will then learn the individual chords and begin to break the song down into chunks. The main goal of the course is to develop the fundamentals of guitar playing through learning songs. I intend to create a welcoming, inviting, judgment-free, comfortable environment for each student. I hope to help each student develop as a guitarist over the course of our time together. I will emphasize the following topics: - proper finger placement on the neck of the guitar - strumming techniques - chords - the anatomy of the guitar

Pre-Requisites
Students will need to have a guitar on hand for each class.

The learner must have a guitar for each class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
