Homework
1-2 hours per week. Assignments will be given according to what the student is working on, whether that be a page in the book, a certain number of measures in a song, a specific scale or chord exercise, etc.

Class Experience

Your student will be taught all of the skills needed to become a great guitarist and musician. Every great journey begins with a single step. Here are the basics they will learn.

- How to hold the guitar so they are comfortable
- How to tune the strings(Very Important) and how to use their tuner
- Hand position for the Left and Right hands
- How to read music notation and guitar tablature

I use The Hal Leonard Guitar Method for younger students and specific songs—either chosen by the student or myself—for older students. Every student is different, so each class is as well. The pace, materials learned, etc., will be tailored to meet the individual needs of each student to ensure their success.

Starting with the guitar can be a bit challenging, so I take a relaxed approach and bring a lot of patience to my teaching. My classes move at the learner's pace, and I aim to keep it frustration-free! Music is an excellent avenue to learn triumph through perseverance. I'm also keen on showing students efficient practice techniques, ensuring they make the most out of their practice time.

I utilize technology whenever I can, creating custom song transcriptions using Guitar Pro. I use AnyTune software to slow down songs, allowing the student to play along at a comfortable speed. Additionally, I use Moises to remove the guitar tracks from the actual song, enabling the student to feel like part of the band when they play along.
Learning Goals
I have one goal for every student I teach: I just want them to make an improvement, whether big or small, each week. Music is a marathon, not a sprint, so every step forward is appreciated and celebrated.
