Beginner students will learn how to pluck and fret strings properly. They will learn at least 5 major, and 5 minor chords. We will learn to play a C major scale, and identify all the notes in that scale. Students will choose a song from a list i provide, and we will learn to play the song from start to finish. Intermediate to advanced students will learn how to use the barre system. They will learn what a musical key signature is, and the notes of the fingerboard. They will learn new...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the parts of the guitar. How to hold a pick properly. How to hold the guitar properly. How to pluck a string properly. The difference between notes, scales, and chords. They will learn all the notes of the musical alphabet, and where those notes are on the guitar. They will learn chords, strum patterns, and fingerpicking patterns. They will learn complete songs from start to finish.
I will give specific instructions at the end of each class regarding what students need to practice.
i will provide PDF docs of everything students will need.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The student will be assessed at the beginning and end of every lesson.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
