In this ongoing class, the student will learn how to improve at playing the flute at whatever level they are currently playing - beginner, intermediate or advanced. #creative

Class experience

Students will work to advance from beginning to intermediate to advanced levels. Advanced level students may want to work on preparing an audition to use in gaining entrance into a college music program.
Homework Offered
Students will be assigned practice time according to their level - beginners 10-15 minutes 5 times a week; intermediates 30 minutes 5 times as week; advanced - an hour five times a week covering technical studies, etudes, solos and other works.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The student will track his or her progress by using a practice journal and setting goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
Grades Offered
Flute, music stand, metronome, practice journal
Method book (chosen by teacher and student); solo and duet material
I would suggest that the intermediate and advanced student read Anne Sullivan's Kaleidoscope Practice or regularly refer to postings at the Bulletproof Musician.
