Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 10
Intermediate - Advanced Level
This course is designed for students wanting to improve both conversational and academic English. The course is taught by a secondary (middle/high school) TESOL certified American English speaker with a Master's of Teaching English. The course uses a structured curriculum complete with a student workbook containing grammar, speaking/pronunciation, reading fluency, comprehension, and writing. Practice homework is provided after each lesson. Teacher will check homework for accuracy or go over it in the next lesson.

International times available!

The reading/discussion materials are appropriate for ages 10+. Topics discussed are future careers, friendships and other relationships, reality TV, hopes and fears, famous people, history, etc.

Every lesson includes reading comprehension, conversation/discussion, vocabulary, and grammar.

Curriculum caters to student's needs. I used standards-based curriculum for all lessons, however.

Students at an intermediate level can:
1. understand the main points of clear texts on familiar topics in standard language
2. manage most situations on a trip to places where English is used
3. produce simple, organized texts about familiar topics
4. describe experiences, events, wishes, opinions, and discuss plans

Policies
I follow Outschool's refund policy, which allows a full refund up to a week in advance or within 24 hours of purchase (before the class starts). No refunds are provided after this point. Additionally, please note Outschool's Attendance Policy: If your learner misses a class meeting, you won't be entitled to a refund unless there was an emergency or tech issue.

Please be aware that if there are no students after the first 10 minutes of the live online class, that day's class will be canceled.

If you would like longer sessions or group sessions, please let me know.

I also do 1:2 tutoring at reduced rates.
