In the one-on-one drum lessons, the student will learn how to play rhythms and will learn the use of proper technique, along with stick control, drum rudiments, and coordination. There will be a focus on learning how to read music notation. In the lessons, I will show how to play the material we are working on and provide specific instructions to the student. The student will follow along, play the material back to me, and read out of the specified percussion books. Each week, the student will be given assignments to practice at home in preparation for the following week's lesson.
