I believe music lessons should be a fun experience. I've been very lucky with my own music lessons growing up. I always looked forward to them and I want to pass on that experience to my own students. Every student learns at a different pace so the lessons are tailored to meet the student's individual needs. My main teaching objective is to engage each student, encourage their love of music, and to inspire an ongoing sense of personal achievement. 

I've been an active musician for over 40 years, covering many varied styles of music, including Jazz, Rock, Country and Blues.. I was formally educated at The Ontario College of Percussion in Toronto, Canada.

Homework Offered
I will provide any assignments related to the work we've done in the lessons. Although it is up to the student to decide how much extra time they put in outside of lessons, the more they practice, the easier things will become. Spending as little as 15 minutes a day, a few times a week can really help the student develop their skills on the instrument.
