This course is for students who would like to learn to play the snare drum, drum set and/or mallets in a private one-on-one setting.

Drum and percussion instruments are very diverse which is what makes them so much fun! You can literally play any style of music that you desire. My private drum and percussion lessons are customized to each individual students needs and wants while still remaining focused on the key fundamentals (technique, reading and timing) for each percussion instrument to ensure that the student is progressing at a good pace. I earned a Master of Music degree in percussion performance from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music degree in percussion performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. I have over 25 years of professional experience as a drum/percussion teacher and performer. I have worked with students ranging from 5-18 years of age and have taught as a percussion teacher and ensemble director at many private and public institutions.
