I will take students from the beginner to high school levels. Depending on the student, we will be focusing on fundamentals of saxophone playing, repertoire, and musicality. I am happy to also help students with competitions and school festivals such as all-state, and region festivals. Students will be learning effective practice skills, fundamentals, and musicality. Each student will be taught differently depending on their level and what they wish to get out of lessons. If they are interested in other styles such as jazz, they are free to switch over to those lessons in my other class.
Homework is practicing! I will be giving weekly assignments that I expect to be completed each week to the best of their ability.
A working saxophone, something to record with (computer, phone, recorder), the device does not have to be fancy as long as I can hear the recording, lastly, paper or journal and something to write assignments with!
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
