Students will rotate through different jobs/roles each week. These roles include: Awesome Artist - illustrate and write a caption for what was read Creative Connector - Connects text to self, other texts and the world Character Captain - illustrates and describes characters from the reading Discussion Director - leads the group meeting and writes questions to discuss with the group Super Summarizer - writes about what they have read in their own words, in chronological order of events Word Wizard - choose interesting, unknown or tricky words from the text and find their meanings
Homework Offered
Students will be asked to read approximately 35 pages per week and to also complete their "job" in order to be ready to present to the group each week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
