If you are looking to start or continue learning the cello, I offer cello lessons for all levels and ages. Students will learn the essential elements of cello playing and music theory, all while learning pieces that fit their musical preference! Music education, especially one that involves learning a string instrument like the cello, is an excellent example of comprehensive learning. Through satisfactory completion of the lessons, students will: 1. Be able to perform basic repertoire 2. Perform with proper posture and positions 3. Demonstrate proper functional motions of the left hand and fingers 4. Demonstrate proper functional bow motions of the right hand and arm 5. Be able to perform with a full, characteristic sound, accurate intonation, accurate rhythm, tonality and appropriate expression 6. Be able to perform by rote simple melodies and harmonies
Homework Offered
In order to have rapid progress, learners are encouraged to practice for a minimum of 20 min per day outside of private lessons.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
