Private Camp or Dance Party With Ms. Yvonne

In this 4-week private dance course, students will learn different dance moves and choreography. At the end of class, they'll have the opportunity to dance their hearts out during our freestyle dance party.

Class Experience

In this private lesson,  you are allowed to have as many learners on one device.  Your learners will be nonstop moving and grooving to the beat.  This is a high-energy dance and fitness class aimed to show your kiddos a fun time! 

My teaching style is to use relatively short activities in rotation in order to keep the children engaged.  We will always start class with a warmup and stretching sequence.  

After our warm-up, the bulk of the class is dedicated to learning different dance moves.  Sometimes I call the moves by their original names but oftentimes I'll make up a new name that's more kid-friendly. 

We'll put the moves of the day together in a simple sequence.  There's no pressure for students to be in sync with each other or the music.  This class is geared towards beginner dancers and learners who just want to have a fun time!  I don't teach any advanced dance moves or choreography.  I keep it sweet, simple, and sometimes a little silly :) 

We'll then have a freestyle "circle" where each student shows us their best dance moves as the crowd cheers them on.  

There are no requirements or previous experience needed for this class.  

Week 1: Shoulders, Slides, and Spins
Week 2: Funky Chicken & Footwork
Week 3: Bow & Arrow & Butterfly
Week 4: Cross & Combos

Parental Guidance
Please ensure learners are wearing clothing comfortable to move in. For example shorts, leggings, joggers, t-shirts, etc. Please no skirts, dresses, or oversized clothing. No shoes or socks are required. The learners will need a clear open space to dance.

For safety purposes, please make sure the area is free of sharp objects or corners in the case of a fall during balancing poses. 

Please keep an easy access water bottle nearby during class.  You can count on us taking quick sips in between activities.
