Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this private beginner piano class, I will help build your learner's knowledge in their piano skills to help get them started on their musical journey! Piano has always been my favorite instrument to play, and I love getting to share that passion with kids who also love it.
Because the class is one-on-one, the students will have more ability to ask questions, focus on things that feel more difficult to understand, and even learn how to play specific songs that they like. Learners don’t need any prior experience in playing the piano to take this class, as we will work from the ground up with what they know. Students will learn how to read sheet music, play scales, and chords, and how to piece together notes on the piano.
Students will also have the opportunity to work on anything they might be struggling with in their piano curriculam during this private lesson.
I am very passionate about helping students gain knowledge in their skills, while also encouraging them to keep their love for music growing and alive. At times, it can be hard for learners to stay passionate about something, especially if they sense any kind of frustration coming from their teacher. Because of this, I interlace a lot of encouragement into my lessons, especially as students are learning new techniques, and I make sure to always have lots of patience with the students.

My Teaching Experience:
I have been a passionate musician for fifteen years now, and have spent countless amount of hours in music lessons growing up, and studied musical performance and songwriting in college. I began teaching music lessons to children when I was seventeen years old, and have loved doing so ever since. I have taught piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, and songwriting to students for five years.
