In these student-driven, private bass guitar lessons, students will get to work one-on-one to hone their bass technique and choose the songs & skills that they most want to learn. My schedule is flexible, so please message me to request a time slot.
Class experience
In addition to introducing your student to the fundamentals of bass technique, these private lessons are designed to cater to each students' individual interests, skill levels, and music tastes. I design lessons that center around teaching core musical techniques through the songs and skills that suit each student. I have over five years of teaching experience and experience as a performer and musician, and am adept at a variety of musical styles including classic rock, funk, pop, and more....
Every student will learn bass playing fundamentals including (but not limited to) music theory, fretboard layout, picking technique, pentatonic scales, and basic improvisation.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Third party sources are used for information and content access. I use Youtube to access songs to listen to and play because of their playback speed feature. I use Google Slides to present diagrams, terminology, and other instructional material. Spotify is used as an additional music access platform (from my account only). Ultimate Guitar is a database containing chord charts and tablature that is used to help learn song material. Resources will only be accessed via screen share. All musical content has been vetted by me and is clean (contains no explicit language or material).
