Beginner - Advanced Level
In this one on one private art class, the learner will choose any (1) art project from my class list (300+ choices) for a lesson. 1:1 We will be learning to draw the subject, background (if applicable) and/or use watercolor, acrylic or pastel techniques to paint it. We will break down the subject into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Drawing techniques include structure, refining sketches, shading, highlights and textures as needed. Watercolor & acrylic painting techniques will cover wet on dry, dry brush, wet on wet, lifting color for mistakes and effects, washes and layers as needed for the project. Oil pastel classes will include techniques such as blending, layering and texturizing paintings. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with the supplies needed to create it. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. The learner will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. I will offer a sharing event at the end of the class and/or I will encourage the learner to upload their finished work to the classroom after it dries to share with me. Use only non-toxic, child-safe art supplies.
Supply List
Watercolor paint set. Assortment of paint brushes. Cup of water. Pencil and eraser. Paper towel. Oil Pastels Palette Knife (no kitchen knives) Watercolor paper, pastel paper, mixed media paper or drawing paper. (Canvas only works well with acrylic paint.) Acrylic paint Paint palette. Colored pencils, markers or paint pens for drawing projects.

Hello art friends! I'm Ms. Michelle. I'm offering directional and expressive art projects for young learners. I'm a professional artist with my education in Fine Art. I believe whole heartedly in the Montessori philosophy. I owned Montessori schools for years and I've taught art to thousands of preschool and elementary students in person and online.
Art has always been my happy place where I can be myself, share experiences, and enjoy friends. My art classes will help students practice fine motor skills, follow oral and visual instructions, improve art skills, and express themselves through creativity and social classes.

*Late to Class Policy - If you’re more than 10 minutes late, I reserve the right to not admit you into class. This is a significant interruption in the process of creation for other learners. If there’s another time for the class, I’ll offer a transfer. If there’s a schedule conflict, please msg me for a transfer before class. No refunds for late arrivals. I appreciate your consideration.
