Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi. I’m Natalie :)
I’m incredibly lucky because I spent the better part of a decade performing over 3000 times on Broadway in shows like Mamma Mia!, Sister Act, and Jersey Boys. Then, I got to study brain communication science at the University of Pittsburgh and worked at the brain injury center at the Portland VA medical center.
As for music training, I attended the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and graduated with honors. I also studied piano under Ken Green, who conducted the Glen Miller Orchestra. I studied guitar under Drew Zingg, of Steeley Dan fame. I learned opera from Diana Walker who was a soloist at the Met and Broadway under legend Victoria Mallory. During my career, I was also able to work with stars including Diana Ross, Seal, Marvin Hamlisch, Jerry Lewis, Garry Marshall, Mel Brooks, Paul Williams, Anthony Van Laast, Sergio Trujillo, Diana Paulus… you get the picture.
As for brain training, I'm a licensed speech-language pathologist who specializes in cognitive communication. I can teach you how to get your brain running at it's best- maximizing your attention, memory, and executive functioning! See how to boost your academic achievement by boosting your brain power!
In my world, it doesn't matter if you're learning music or training your brain, because the goal is the same! Our goal is always to learn something useful while you're having fun! Just like I challenge my students, I always challenge myself to work hard and face my fears too. So, you may even see me out rock climbing if you're lucky! You'll also see me training my own brain to be the best I can be.
Sign up today to see how I can help you become your best. Let's do this!
