Description
Class Experience
Topics currently offered:
Arithmetic Properties: Place values, rounding or regrouping whole numbers, order of operations, distributive property
Geometry:
- Draw and identify lines and angles, and classify shapes by properties of their lines and angles.
- Pythagorean theorem
Algebraic Thinking:
- Use the four operations with whole numbers to solve problems, word problems and multi-step problems
- Gain familiarity with factors and multiples.
- Generate...By the end of this class, students will have a better or complete understanding of their intended subjects at their own pace. Students can set their goals and together we will meet each goal.
Additional homework (personalized by goals) are always available and some classes will have required homework to meet our scheduled goals.
Pencil, Paper and a calculator (to check their work for correct answers)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessments are available if desired and discussed prior to the start of lessons. Assessments can also be added in later if desired. However, an assessment is not standard in my private lessons.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
