Class Experience

_______________________________________
Happy September! I'm feeling excited to start another school year which means you get a limited time offer to try one free class; but this month only! Just use code WOOLVBKTOSCHOOL25 when you enrol in any of my classes (except 1-Day) during September.

The structure and materials of this learner-directed, ongoing private coaching class depend on your learner. I will choose the right scenes, monologues and exercises based on your learner's needs and goals. You are free to supply any scenes or materials you want to work on. The first half of every class we practice with exercises then we devote the second half to the scenes(s) we are working on.

Whether you are a beginner or have representation and are already auditioning, I will help your deliver a stronger performance that knocks your audience's socks off by teaching you how to two things better:

1) Doing the right work ahead of time to find that special thing you can bring to the part, and;
2) Practicing effectively to gain the confidence to do it naturally.

Understanding the script, getting out of your own head, focusing on listening and reacting to your fellow actor, motivation, sensory recall, exploring emotions: These are some of the many techniques that can help you grow that we will practice and explore; but none are so important as learning to let go and allowing the role to take over. That takes focus, preparation, concentration and confidence: four strengths we will help you develop.

You have something special in you, and with some coaching, we can bring it out together!

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a professional television and film actor, screenwriter and independent director in the U.S.A. and Canada for years. I was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a film in the 90's and again for Canada's Hottest Star in 2002 (which I won!), at the Canadian Geminis (what used to be Canada's answer to the Oscars / Emmies). I attended theatre school for 8 years as a child and then continued to train throughout my career. I have too many credits to list but you can look me up on the IMDB if you are curious. Most people recognize me from Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda (the character "Harper") or the Bride of Chucky lol.
