Homework
1 hour per week. Throughout the course, when working on text (using scripts), memorization will be required for work sessions. There will always be a one week buffer between picking the text and working the text. Memorization is necessary in acting, but it is not something to stress over. Patience and and understanding is encouraged in this course.Class Experience
Welcome to my Acting Course. This course meets once a week for 30 minute sessions. Each lesson is divided into three sections: a five minute warm-up, a twenty minute work session, and a five minute reflection. The course is structured to encourage critical thinking and foster creativity. Each week, we will review acting concepts and work through acting material (monologues, scenes, etc.), develop and synthesize different acting techniques, and maintain sustainable acting practices. This is a low stakes, safe, explorative space for students to discover what they wish to pursue and focus on within the discipline.

Students will become active agents of their own expression and artistry.

We may work with sensitive/mature texts. Any sensitive material will be discussed beforehand with parents.

Welcome to my Courses!
My name is Parker, and I provide private instruction for Acting at all levels of experience. During our weekly lessons, I will guide you towards a more developed understanding of expression and performance. If you are new to Acting, we will build a working knowledge of basic terminology and concepts. After the fundamentals have been covered, we will follow your specific goals with a flexible, curiosity-driven curriculum.
Acting has played a huge role in my artistry. I recently graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Songwriting.
In Boston, I acted with Lowell House Opera at Harvard University, The Boston Theatre Marathon, V-Day (a global activist movement), and New Ground Theatre Company at Boston Conservatory. I am currently based in Atlanta, where I am recording music for an EP release alongside several friends and collaborators from across the country!
