Class experience

DANIEL BRISTOL:
Daniel Bristol is a multi-award winning actor and 2019 graduate of the prestigious internationally recognized conservatory Studio 58, under the direction of Kathryn Shaw. Most recently, Daniel was awarded nationally with an Official Top Young Emerging Actor Selection in 2022 by UBCP/ACTRA and acted in Leo Award-winner Joyce Kline's film 'Cancelled Stamp', which won the coveted Audience Favorite Best Short Award at the Victoria Film Festival. He made his film debut in Paramount Pictures 'The Uninvited' as Samuel Wright with Academy Award nominee David Strathairn, Elizabeth Banks, and Emily Browning. Soon after, he acted in the Warner Bros film 'Sucker Punch' directed by Zach Snyder. In 2016, he was nominated for Best Young Actor in a Leading Role as Lucas in 'His First Time' and won for Best Monologue at the Joey Awards: Canada's & UK's/Europe's most prestigious awards for young performers. After appearing in 6 award winning Studio 58 Mainstage Productions, including the Carol Bolt Award and 3 Ovation Awards, he graduated at the top of his class and starred as the titular role of CBC's Digital Shorts' Pilot 'Captain Coquitlam' directed by Arno Hazebroek, who executive produced the film Hope Gape which was directed by two time Academy Award Nominee William Nicholson. In only a few months, after auditioning nationally, he was cast in the starring role of Ben as his professional theatre debut for which he found great critical and popular acclaim in the hit Canadian Actors' Equity Association production of 'The Birds and the Bees' (2020). The show's run was extended twice and raised over $106,265 for Children's Charity. Also in 2020, Daniel won the worldwide Silver Medal in the World Monologue Games out of 3000 actors from 85 countries for Best Monologue and represented his country within the competition as the only Canadian to reach the Global Finals. Revered actress Sohaila Kapur, youngest sister to Cate Blanchett's Oscar Winning Elizabeth director Shekhar Kapur, earned Bronze. In 2021, Daniel worked with Lee Strasberg's son David Lee Strasberg in Los Angeles as well as with HBO's Game of Thrones dialect coach Sally Hague in Staffordshire, England. He also made a Guest Appearance at The Second City Chicago.

CORNELIUS JEFFERSON:
Cornelius Jefferson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and has distinguished himself as a talented actor, singer, model, author of the book "CHALLENGES: The Journey to Healing", and now CEO and acting coach of Royal Dramatics. He is the proud father of one son and a brother of the most honorable Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Incorporated. As a child, Cornelius began to love the idea of performing, and he appeared in his first stage plays while in elementary school. As a teenager, Cornelius performed at the prestigious Atlanta Civic Center in the production of King of Glory, and he also performed in a black box production of When Sunday Comes. 

After playing the leading role in Purlie Victorious, Cornelius relocated to Miami, FL, where he was a student in the Theatre Program at the University of Miami. His studies also included ballet, jazz, and tap. While in Miami, he performed at the Hillel Theatre in FAME: The Musical as Tyrone Jackson and as Clarence Bigsby in Sam Holiday: No Business for Love. Cornelius returned to Atlanta and played the role of Brother Boxer in the touring production of James’ Baldwin’s The Amen Corner. 


ERIN LOCKETT:
Erin Lockett (she/her) is an East Coast based actor and creative who’s theatrical curiosity lies in physicality, new works, and helping others find confidence and community through their artistic growth. Erin graduated from Ithaca College in 2020 with a BFA in Acting and will attend Brown University/ Trinity Rep this Fall to pursue her MFA in Acting. She is excited to be in play and discussion with those who are ready to have their stories heard and felt.  Her experience had led her to be a confident and giving performer and teacher. Erin is happy to say that her theatrical experience ranges from a National Tour of a one woman show, to Regional Theater, to new play workshops and productions in NYC. Erin is committed to providing an energetic space for creative growth and empowerment. LET'S PLAY!

CJ KNORR:
CJ Knorr is a New Jersey born actor currently residing in Morehead, Kentucky. He graduated from Arcadia University with a B.F.A in Acting. His precious roles include Ensemble in The Prom and John Brooke in The Little Women Musical. CJ fell in love with theater at a young age and enjoys nothing more than watching people succeed on the stage. He doesn't believe anyone when they say that "They can't sing" or "They can't act." He knows that everyone can sing and act they just need the right training and the confidence to do so. CJ can't wait to bring his theater experience into this community and hopes he can help others grow into the performer they were meant to be.

CHARLOTTE FRANCIS:
I am a professional singer in NYC, having just graduated from Columbia University with an MFA in acting ‘23, and Wellesley College ‘19 with a degree in music. I have trained, and continue to train with the top acting and singing professionals in the business. I am currently a student of Mary Setrakian and Liz Caplan's studios and am represented by Atlas Artists.
Homework Offered
Between sessions, students may receive individualized assignments and exercises to allow them to continue their growth at home.

Assessments Offered
Students may receive written feedback from the instructor upon request at any point. Helpful and constructive verbal feedback will be given after each exercise.
Grades Offered
If students are working on a particular monologue, scene, or other text for an audition, they should bring this to class to workshop with the instructor.
