Class Experience
Do you have a school or professional audition you need to tackle? A monologue you're interested in getting to the bottom of? Have you just thought it would be fun to learn about breaking down a script and getting a character onto their feet? Then this class is for you! Bring your own material and we'll work on it together to get you comfortable and having fun; or, you tell me what you want to know more about or would like to work on and talk about, and I can provide fun, challenging scripts or monologues for us to explore. Together we'll engage a mind-body connection and use surprising activities to flex that acting muscle!
Learning Goals
Students will grow in their comfort and understanding of various acting challenges.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We may be talking about emotions of all kinds, including anger and sadness. While I do not use emotional recall (going back into the actor's memory to a time they felt a specific emotion), sometimes talking about certain emotions as they relate to a story or script, can be difficult for students. Please know that no student will be pushed to explain or express anything that makes them uncomfortable.
Supply List
A journal (preferred) or paper Pen or pencil (If student prefers to write on a computer or other device, that is acceptable as well)
Language of Instruction

External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
