Students will develop, expand upon and improve their Portuguese language skills.
I am an American-Portuguese, bilingual teacher, with strong native knowledge of both English and European Portuguese, with experience teaching second languages. I have a licentiate degree in Communication Sciences from Minho University in Portugal and have been certified in English Proficiency by Cambridge University since the very young age of 16.
Homework and worksheets may be provided accordingly and are sent out quite frequently for practice outside the classroom. Homework, while not mandatory, is strongly suggested as it helps your learner reassess and retain what they have learned, in between lessons, as knowledge builds upon each lesson.
Learner is advised to have a designated notebook and pen or pencil for writing. Textbooks can be used per parent request.
Assessment and feedback will be given throughout each lesson and over the duration of the course.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
