The math skills of addition, subtraction, patterning, skip counting, analog time, and money will be taught as initial math skills are mastered. Hello! My name is Teacher Catherine. I have over25 years of teaching experience in public and private schools. I have taught third grade, Title One Preschool, Kindergarten and online ESL. I really enjoy helping young learners find a love for learning and become life long learners. I enjoy creating lessons that are fun and engaging. I have done lots of one on one tutoring and it is so fun to see the "lightbulbs" turn on as students make connections between letters and sounds and then putting those sounds together to make words. I also love seeing students developing number sense and grasping basic math skills. My classes on Outschool will help prepare students for Kindergarten and/or help scaffold their learning as they navigate their elementary school years. I never thought I would enjoy teaching early childhood until I had my own children and saw first hand how fun it is to teach four to eight year old children. They are little sponges and just soak up everything.
