Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 3
Beginner - Advanced Level
Students will have an individualized learning experience that cannot be achieved in the group classes. We will use the Science Fusion curriculum appropriate to the student's grade and/or ability level. 



My teaching strength areas are:

-Scaffolding
I will constantly be evaluating your child's level and adjusting our class to meet your child's needs.

-Student Encouragement
I will celebrate wins with your child. I want them to know that I am happy to help them learn and I want them to succeed!

 -Parent Communication
I will communicate frequently with the parents about the anticipated learning goals and I will give frequent check-ins to inform the parents of the learner's progress.

LESSON 1
Unit 1: Our Five Senses (pages 1-16)
- Discuss the Table of Contents.
- Learning with our senses
- *Activity - Tasting: sweet, sour, salty (Students will be supplied with a handout to print. Please bring something sweet, sour, and salty to class.)
- Science tools we can use for measuring: ruler, tape measure, balance, measuring cup, thermometer (Please bring any of these that you have at home.)
Homework: *Please complete pages 12 & 13.

We will learn about the fascinating up-close features that are visible under a microscope! 

LESSON 3

Students will need their Science Fusion student worktext, play-dough, paper, pencil, and crayons (or colored pencils). The teacher will inform the family of other supplies as they are needed.
