Beginner - Advanced Level
Tutoring throughout the school year, is a great way to support your child in their areas of needs or advancement. Often, children need some extra help with ELA topics like: reading, spelling, writing, grammar, or comprehension. They also may struggle in some tricky math areas like: multiplication facts, long division, fact families, etc. I offer an engaging and individualized 30 minutes of learning helping students to master areas they may be struggling in. These one-on-one tutoring class will be created specifically for your child based on their current needs, possible inspiration to advance in subject areas, or for homework help. The schedule will be flexible and based on the best schedule for your family. Here are the subjects and topics you may choose. Math- all content in grades 1-8. This may include decimals, fractions, multiplication/division, various types of word problems, basic to more complex math facts, pre-algebra, beginning geometry, etc. Language Arts- spelling, grammar, phonics, reading strategies, comprehension, ELD, etc. Communication through the Outschool message (email) will be made with the parent before the first class to settle on a schedule and determine the necessary course of action needed to move forward. As life often changes day by day, and the schedule provided no longer meets your needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to discuss a new schedule. Also, the duration of the class time can change if requested. My goal is to help your child to be successful in our sessions together. Cancellation Policy: Class cancellations must be requested 24 hours before the start of class. If a class is missed, I will do my best to accommodate a make-up session. However, these sessions are not guaranteed due to my current teaching schedule and other enrolling students.

Hello and welcome to my profile! I love reading, adventuring, spending time with my family, and learning new things. I also of course LOVE to teach!
I have a two degrees, both in education. My first degree is a B.A. in Elementary Education and my second, is a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, I have certificate in teaching English online to students overseas and newcomers here in the states. This is commonly called a TESOL certificate.
I have experience working with all ages from pre-k-12th grade both in-person and online. My in-person teaching experience was a lead teacher in the pubic school system in both California and Texas. I have taught grades 1st-4th as an in-person lead teacher. As for online teaching, I have taught all subjects including teaching English to English Language Learners across the country. I've also worked with students who are autistic, have ADHD, ODD, and anxiety to name a few. My first teaching experience was as an assistant for a Montessori school working with pre-k and preschool students of which I thoroughly enjoyed for just over two years.
My overall teaching career started nearly 18 years ago and I am so looking forward to adding to that experience when working with you budding scholar!Reviews
