Class experience
In this ongoing course students will learn songs both by ear and using notation, as well as play games and complete written exercises to strengthen their knowledge of the piano and piano music. This course is designed for students who have already been studying piano for some time; therefore learners may start by playing from sheet music already purchased. However at some point all learners will be required to purchase lesson and theory books based on their age and skill level, mostly...
Homework Offered
Students will be given practice assignments each week, and will be encouraged to practice regularly according to their skill level. Students will also be given music theory and/or composition exercises to be completed during the week, designed to take no more than 10-15 min per assignment, unless of course the student is enjoying the assignment so much that they wish to continue!0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

One each piano lesson and music theory books (series selected based on students' experience and learning preferences) A notebook for writing down practice assignments and songs learned by ear Either blank sheet music paper (preferred) or access to a digital music composition program A pencil A piano or keyboard, at least 60 keys
