1-2 hours per week. Are you enrolling for fun? Then just show up and we will play. However, if you want to progress and develop skills, you need to set aside a minimum of 15-30 minutes of daily practice time 4 or 5 times a week to see progress.Class Experience
Welcome to my studio! In our beginner piano lessons, I will teach you the fundamentals of music, which will allow you to read notation and play the piano. A typical 20 minutes lesson will: * begin with a review of your practice sessions * then we will either do warm-ups, finger exercises, and other technical work based on your level * the remaining part of your lesson will focus on repertoire: (songs or pieces) assigned by me, your instructor I will assign music and repertoire based on your progress.

You will learn to read music notation and play the piano employing the proper technique.

As an award-winning, internationally acclaimed musician, research scholar, and educator, I have collaborated with world-renowned performers, writers, and scholars.
I have a Ph.D. (Ethnomusicology), M.Mus (Voice Performance), MPhil (Philosophy and religious studies), M.A., and B.A. (English Literature). ATCL and LTCL diplomas (Voice Performance) from Trinity College London. I have more than 30 years of experience as a live and recording artist and I have taught survey courses and applied voice and piano lessons at the studio, conservatory, and university levels for more than two decades.
Fun facts about me: My voice has featured on award-winning Bollywood film soundtracks. And as a polyglot, I can speak and understand French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Tamil, and Hindi.
