Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome to my class everyone! You can take this class from 1 - 5 times a week! Does your child need that extra boost with their Maths skills or want to progress to the next level of learning? In this ongoing class, I will build lessons around your child's personal needs, whether that be help with multiplication, word problems, fraction, addition or something else. I have lots of different teaching resources depending on your child's age and ability. Please just message me before your first lesson to let me know the Math area you would like your child to work on and their average ability. Although the first lesson will be used to get to know each other and for me to get a good idea of their strengths and weaknesses, and their likes and dislikes, so I can plan lessons to suit them. I make my classroom a safe, positive environment where mistakes are not criticised, we just use them to shape our learning. Lots of praise and encouragement will be used to build up their confidence. I am a qualified teacher with a child psychology degree so believe happiness and confidence the key to learning! A Math-based game will be played for a few minutes at the end of each lesson. This is to ensure each class is ended on a positive note and your learner's love for Math is ever-growing. I also offer English private tutoring, if your learner need an extra boost with that too :) I look forward to meeting you!

Hello everyone! I am Laura from England in the United Kingdom.
I am an experienced Teacher and have been teaching for 10 years now, 7 in UK schools and 3 online. I have worked with children aged 4 -11 in various year groups. I have been on multiple phonics and reading training courses and have taught children how to read for years. I am a very calm but confident teacher and love to see children progress through their learning.
I am also a fully qualified Emotional Literacy Support Assistant and have been working with children in a primary school ages 5-11 for the last 8 years helping with all aspects of their emotional literacy. I have worked with both groups and individuals depending on their individual needs. I have experience in behaviour management, anger, anxiety, bullying, relationship building, self-esteem and more.
I was a Mental Health First Aider in my last practice and hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, Level 3 Health and Social Care Qualification, Art Therapy Trained and I have almost completed my Child Psychology Degree. I also have a Level 5 TESOL certification.
I believe children should have fun whilst learning; as happy, confident children are more likely to succeed in what they set out to achieve.
