Hello and welcome to my class! Does your child need that extra boost with their English skills or want to progress to the next level of learning? In this ongoing class, I will build lessons around your child's personal needs, whether that be help with grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, or reading. I have lots of different teaching resources depending on your child's age and ability. Huge range of Oxford Reading Tree books level 1 - 9 for those wanting reading and comprehension lessons. Animals, sports and space fact file comprehensions (learn cool facts, practice reading and answer questions) Unique Phonics programme. Creative writing lessons based on your child's interests! Both ESL and None ESL Students are welcome! I make my classroom a safe, positive environment where mistakes are not criticised, we just use them to shape our learning. Lots of praise and encouragement will be used to build up their confidence. I am a qualified teacher with a child psychology degree so believe happiness and confidence the key to learning! An English-based game will be played for a few minutes at the end of each lesson. This is to ensure each class is ended on a positive note and your learner's love for English is ever-growing. You can take this class from 1 - 5 times a week! I also offer private Math tutoring classes if they need extra help in that too :) If you're new to Outschool and this is your first class, message me first and I can give you $20 off your first class with me :) I look forward to meeting you!

Hello everyone! I am Laura from England in the United Kingdom.
I am an experienced Teacher and have been teaching for 10 years now, 7 in UK schools and 3 online. I have worked with children aged 4 -11 in various year groups. I have been on multiple phonics and reading training courses and have taught children how to read for years. I am a very calm but confident teacher and love to see children progress through their learning.
I am also a fully qualified Emotional Literacy Support Assistant and have been working with children in a primary school ages 5-11 for the last 8 years helping with all aspects of their emotional literacy. I have worked with both groups and individuals depending on their individual needs. I have experience in behaviour management, anger, anxiety, bullying, relationship building, self-esteem and more.
I was a Mental Health First Aider in my last practice and hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, Level 3 Health and Social Care Qualification, Art Therapy Trained and I have almost completed my Child Psychology Degree. I also have a Level 5 TESOL certification.
I believe children should have fun whilst learning; as happy, confident children are more likely to succeed in what they set out to achieve.
