Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 10
Beginner - Advanced Level
This one-on-one class is open to students with varying musical background and skills. I tend to provide a relaxed, safe, and encouraging learning environment. Whether it is your first time picking up your instrument or your fourth year on your journey, these private lessons will provide you the tools, skills and knowledge to play any of your favorite styles of music.

Parents of young students, please ensure that if your child plays an electric instrument, they have the proper amplification. And even more important, if at all possible, parents help your student tune their guitar or bass right before the lesson as it may take valuable lesson time away from actual learning and playing.

Some Topics Covered: Basic instrument knowledge/care, learning to read/recognize the tools and symbols used in music, the absolute fundamental importance of proper posture and technique, picking and fingering styles, material I will present, as well as material and music you the learner would like to focus on.

Class Structure: Access prior knowledge and review older material (if applicable), present newer material/exercises, practice new material. I tend to follow the "I do, we do, you do" format.

Learners are encouraged to ask as many questions as they need to ensure clear and concise delivery of information. The more at ease a student is the more they tend to enjoy and retain!
