I have a Bachelors in Writing, a Masters in Education, certification in English as a Second Language and worked as a high school teacher and with college-prep programs for almost fifteen years.
Sometimes sensitive topics come up while writing the college essay depending on your child's own topic.
Students will watch YouTube videos related to the topic and be given links to videos that address their specific essay prompts. They will be visiting the Common Core website to learn more about the college essay. They teacher will give students links or share on screen websites from various sites such as The Princeton Review, College Vine and various blogs to help them with crafting their essay and to read examples of essays.
