***No longer accepting new students as I start maternity leave in June*** Does your child need extra reading and comprehension practice? This is a private one-on-one tutoring session where your child will focus on sounding out words, phonics and reading comprehension. Students will read short stories, play fun phonics games and talk about what they have read. The class will be adjusted to your learner's reading level and can also be tailored to your student's interests as well. When you register your child for the class please let me know what it is he/she needs help with! Do they need help with accuracy, fluency, or comprehension? There will be on going communication between parent and teacher. Together we will build confidence! I am a former reading intervention teacher!

Hi! My name is Jamie! I am a work-at-home mom of 2 little princesses! I graduated from Lock Haven University in 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Math for Middle school!
I have always worked with children! While earning my degree I worked in a daycare center. Once graduated I worked in public school! I taugh grades 1 and 2 for a few years and loved it! I later found myself teaching reading for grades k-3 as an intervention teacher; this spoke to my heart!
After having my daughter in 2014 I decided to stay at home and be a full time mom! 2 years ago I started working from home as a 1-on-1 ELS teacher! I love teaching interactive based classes that keep children engaged and active. These are things I will focus my classes around. I hope your child enjoys them as much as I enjoy teaching them!
