Hi there! I am an experienced educator with over 20 years of teaching experience and am a certified English Language Arts (ELA) teacher / tutor.  During this time, I have been awarded the title of teacher of the year several times in my traditional brick-and-mortar classroom both faculty and students.  I have been nominated for teacher of the year in my school district as well.

Well, I do enjoy working with kids of all kinds, whether it be Neurotypical or Neurodivergent children, I find that my teaching talents truly shines with Neurodivergent learners who benefit from being taught to learn in ways that work best for them.

In my 1 on 1 private tutoring sessions I will work with your Neurodivergent learner to customize my lessons to your unique learners actual interests to help them want to truly engage in what they are learning. This kind of tutoring session can be great for reluctant readers and writers who need a bit of pursuassion to read and write.

As a life long learner of books, movies, geek culture, comics and video games I am able to use kids interests to help connect thier passions with a love of learning in my classes and private sessions I offer here on Outschool. Kids and I can choose topics based on their real interests like, Harry Potter , Star Wars, D.C.,  Marvel, Superman, Spiderman, Transformers, Lord Of The Rings, Zelda, Super Mario, and so much more!

What will be taught?
In this private tutoring session I can assist all kind of learners ( struggling or advanced ) to improve reading, writing, and reading comprehension skills during our time together. 

Who is this private tutoring for?
These tutoring lessons are for any kinds of kids who tend to think a bit differently and think outside the box who need a bit of extra patience, encouragement and understanding to support them in the way they need to learn!These kids are often referred as Neurodivergent or Neurodiverse. Quite often that is kids with ADHD, ADD, ASD ( Autism Spectrum), 2E ( Gifted & Neurodivergent).
I have worked with their are the first kids for over 20 years, and find that they really gravitate to my unique and patient style of teaching.

What Do We Do In A Private Session?
In these private tutoring sessions, I will continue to assess students reading, writing, and reading comprehension skills and offer support in the areas they need help each week by creating customized and engaging lessons.  These lessons are tailored to your child's interests and are meant to help improve you child's skills in the areas they are struggling in. My sole focus is truly to  provide help for your nuerodivergent child in a distraction free environment as they grow their skills.

How Virtual Tutoring Is Provided?
My private sessions offered are ALL provided on the Outschool platform by using a combination of verbal instruction, educational videos, educational games and book studies. I will assess students strengths and weaknesses using multiple approaches and focus on the learner's individual needs. The teaching methods used may evolve depending on what the lesson will be for weekly or bi weekly students. All communications are done through Outschool via email with learners and parents.

Do children need to have their microphones and cameras on?
Yes. We will leave our microphones and cameras on on throughout the entire class while enjoying learning together fro the sold purpose of being able to see if the child is actually understanding the concepts being taught.

Is This Tutoring Charged Every Week?
No. These particular tutoring sessions allow you to choose the weeks he would like to book your child session in advance. This met, you can purchase multiple tutoring sessions for your child, one week, and one another week.  This provides family with the freedom to take control of how often their child is tutored.  Feel free to offer as many classes as you like to reserve your spot, and send message if you need additional dates added that you would like to book.

How To Enroll A Learner:
If you do not see a time listed that works with your schedule, please feel free to send me a schedule request with the best days of the week for you, time of day ( AM or PM ). You can include a brief description of the subject or specific area your child could use help with as well.Then please expect a reply within 48 hours from the initial request. 
I will try my best to accommodate as many requests as possible.
