Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students will have weekly worksheets to help improve writing and help with vocabulary building.Assessment
We will have pronunciation and dictation practice twice during the class to evaluate student's skill and decide what to focus on.Class Experience
Is your child obsessed with all things Korean? Do they love listening to K-Pop and watching music videos? If so, this is the class for them! After this month long class your student will be able to read and speak basic Korean. Because this is a private course, your student will be receiving pronunciation tips and helpful anecdotes as we learn. I include real-life examples(age appropriate) from various Korean media (popular songs, news broadcasts or Korean Dramas.) We will start with the very basic introduction to Korean alphabet. During our first week we will be learning how to read and write Hangul (the name of the Korean alphabet.) There will be pronunciation quizzes where students get to test their listening skills and work towards a better understanding of Korean. After student has learned how to read, there will be a weekly list of the Vocabulary we will be discussing that week. The student should look over this file and feel somewhat comfortable before class starts. In class we will go over the daily vocabulary words and re-enforce pronunciation and go over our grammar points for the day. After class students will receive a a few activities they should be able to complete on their own. (No more than 30 minutes worth of work.) If you don't see a time that fits with your schedule please feel free to message me. I only open 5 sections of this class every month so I can dedicate enough time to each student. I offer sibling or friend discount, please message me if you're interested. Second student will be 50% off. I also offer this course in a group format here: Additionally if your student can already read/write in Hangul (the Korean alphabet) we will be able to move into deeper topics faster. This class follows the Korean curriculum set by the Korean Government but has been modified by me for younger learners.
